IridologyEvery nerve ending from every organ in the body meets in the iris of the eye. These nerve fibers respond to the health conditions of the tissues and organs with a corresponding physiological reflex, which manifests in the iris of the eye in certain patterns and colors. Iridology is the visual analysis of the iris colors and patterns. The iris also reveals body constitution and inherent strengths and weaknesses. Iridology cannot show or name a specific disease but it can provide information about the body’s tissues and organs which indicate a dis-eased condition. Iridology is simple a tool to provide information about the body’s organs. The following colors for example reveal these weaknesses: white – inflammation yellow - kidneys orange – pancreas reddish – blood brown – liver dark – toxicity Once weaknesses are detected a sound nutritional and herbal program is recommended to nourish the organ and to prevent a disease or to reverse an already diseased condition. Hungarian physician, Dr. Ignatz von Peczely and Swedish clergyman, Nils Liljequist, mapped the first historical Iridology charts. Today the Father of modern Iridology is the late Dr. Bernard Jensen, American chiropractor who continued the work of mapping of the eyes in the 1950’s. Iridology is practiced quite extensively in Europe with Germany contributing most of the research in the field.
