Membership

Requirements

1. Each Full Member to have a long-term vision that is in general alignment with that of the HAAO.

2. Members shall make a point of offering their individual strengths to support the Association.

3. All members to be team-workers, working co-operatively for the common good.

4. Members shall be willing to give and receive support to and from each other when appropriate.

5. All members are encouraged to participate in the community through volunteer work and active participation in caring for the planet.

6. Members are required to be prompt in paying their annual subscription fees.

7. All members are required to disclose any criminal records or past ethical behaviour as pertinent to the ethics of the Association.

8. Members are encouraged to attend membership meetings for the strength of the Association.

Professional Ethics

1. Members to demonstrate professionalism at all times, providing the highest quality of service, confidentiality and integrity.

2. Members to seek the wellness of clients as priority, and be willing to refer their clients to other professionals.

3. Each member to be willing to take full responsibility for their personal development.

4. All advertisements which mention the HAAO must be cleared by the Board and members are encouraged to include references to the Association when promoting services for the betterment of the HAAO.

5. Members seek to complement, rather than compete with, established health care professionals.

6. Fees for services shall be at a fair market value.

Goals of the HAAO

1. To provide a professional, caring, healing service to the community.

2. To provide professional support to fellow members.

3. To encourage and guide Associate Members and provide them with opportunities for professional development and growth.

4. To maintain and create public awareness of Healing Arts resources to the community.

5. Members to promote the Association and to volunteer, willingly, their energy, time, expertise, talents and monetary contributions, where appropriate.

6. To establish links with related local community organizations and health care professionals.

7. The Association applauds profitable business management and training for this objective.
